Privacy isn’t a marketing line for us — it’s how the product is built. Here is exactly what that means, in plain language.
Your content is never used to train AI
We do not train any model on your notes, and we never sell or share your content. Full stop.
Owner-scoped on every request
Every read and write is checked against your account on the server — not just hidden in the interface. You can only ever reach your own notes; another account can never touch your data.
Encrypted in transit
All traffic is served over HTTPS. Share links are unguessable tokens and can be password-protected, set to expire, or revoked at any time.
Your data is yours — and portable
Export every note (with its full text) to a single JSON file from Settings, any time. Ask us to delete your account and we remove your notes from our systems.
For regulated work
If your profession requires a Data Processing Agreement or confidentiality terms before you store client information, contact us at privacy@trycrate.net — we’re happy to provide one.
